The Point System at Gas City I-69 Speedway

In every racing program, except special events, drivers are awarded points for their finishing positions and other accomplishments.  These points are tallied up and issued each week to determine the standings.  At the end of the season, the driver with the most points is the champion of the division they competed in.  A banquet is held to distribute awards in each division and to honor those who race at Gas City I-69 Speedway.  The point system is as follows:

FEATURE - ALL DIVISIONS

1ST - 130        6TH - 106        11TH - 87        16TH - 72

2ND - 125        7TH - 102       12TH - 84        17TH - 69

3RD - 120        8TH - 98        13TH - 81        18TH - 66

4TH - 115        9TH - 94        14TH - 78        19TH - 63

5TH - 110        10TH - 90       15TH - 75        20TH - 60

SEMI-FEATURE (B-MAIN) - ALL DIVISIONS

1st *NT - 45            9th *NT - 29

2nd *NT - 43           10th *NT - 27

3rd *NT - 41            11th *NT - 25

4th *NT - 39            12th *NT - 23

5th *NT - 37            13th *NT - 21

6th *NT - 35            14th *NT - 19

7th *NT - 33            15th *NT - 17

8th *NT - 31            16th *NT - 15

*NT = Drivers that did not transfer or take a provisional to the next event

The driver with the fast qualifying time receives 5 bonus points each evening

Each entrant that takes the green flag for Hot Laps receives 5 bonus points for showing up
