GAS CITY, Ind., June 27 — Big paydays await competitors in the Thunder Car and Front Wheel Drive (FWD) Compact divisions this Friday night at Gas City I-69 Speedway with an additional $1,000 added to the standard purses.
For Thunder Car competitors, it is the final race opportunity for a driver or car to qualify for eligibility to compete in the $6,000 Thunder Car Rumble on July 13. In addition, One More Time Motorsports owners John and Sherrill Long have posted $500 to this week’s purses among the top three finishing positions in Thunder Cars and FWD Compacts.
The winner of the Thunder Car feature will earn $500 with second-place paying $300 and third-place $200. For FWD Compact competitors, the winner will take home $375 while second-place pays $240 and third is worth $180.
